The Rainbow Fish

We read the story "The Rainbow Fish".  The children used water colors to make their own rainbow fish.   We added one "shiny scale".

Family Friday

We had lots of family members come to school to share in story time and music time. 

Family Day was lots of fun!

We enjoyed all of the activities in our Week of the Young Child Celebration!!

Artsy Thursday

At center time, we had 2 different art activities available.

First, the children used markers on a large piece of paper. 

 Then, they used different brushes to paint a large piece of paper.  We used 2 different kinds of blue to make an ocean.

We will add ocean creatures to our ocean next week.

Tomorrow is Family Friday.   Please send in a picture of your family for your child to share.  We are looking forward to seeing family members during table time or during book and music time. 

Work together Wednesday!

 We had lots of little blocks at table time.   The children worked together to make trains and rockets.

 We painted with legos at the art center.

Thursday is Artsy Thursday.  We will explore different art materials.

Healthy Tuesday!

We celebrated "Week of the Young Child" by focusing on healthy living today.

First we went to PE.

 The children rode scooters around the track with their buddies.

Then we moved like animals across the gym.

At snack, everyone shared their fruit.  We made fruit salad!!

At Music time, we moved our bodies in different ways to the song  "Count to 100".

Tomorrow is Work Together Wednesday.  We will build with lots of different blocks!!

Music Monday

 We had different instruments at the discovery table.  Bells,  rhythm sticks...

 Drums...

 Xylophone.....

 Music cube... We touched the button and listened to an instrument.

 Shakers...

and toys that made music.

 We used the rainbow streamers to move to the music.  We moved fast and slow, up and down.

Music Monday was a fun day.  Tomorrow is Healthy Tuesday.  We will go to PE and eat healthy fruit at snack.

Water Fun!

 Using funnels, bottles, cups,  and sponges to experiment with water in our sensory tubs.
